About this service

Since 27 April 2026, residence applications covered by the new MOS rules are submitted online rather than at a booked submission appointment.

After an online application, the voivodeship office summons the applicant to attend in person for fingerprints, a signature specimen and a check of the original passport.

The office may also ask for additional information or documents.

Some residence applications remain on paper under the exceptions listed by the Office for Foreigners.

Who it may suit

  • People who have received a notice to attend after submitting a MOS application.
  • People with an earlier paper application who need help understanding the next office visit.
  • People unsure whether their office assigns a visit or asks them to book one.

How we help

  • Check your application route and the instructions from the relevant office.
  • Help you understand an assigned appointment or the booking procedure where one applies.
  • Help you prepare the documents requested for your visit.

Good to know

  • For applications covered by MOS, submitting the online form and attending the later office visit are separate steps.
  • The Dolnośląski office's MOS notice says that applicants with earlier paper submissions will receive appointment dates.
  • The Office for Foreigners instructs applicants to log into MOS personally and keep their login details private.

Questions about this service

01How long does it take to get a residence card (TRC) in Poland?

There is no single processing time for a TRC application. As of 12 October 2026, decision time limits for covered residence cases at voivodeship offices are suspended until 4 March 2027, although applications continue to be processed. Your waiting time depends on your case and completed formalities, and issuing the physical card is a separate step after approval. We can review your application at a consultation.

02What should I do if my residence permit application has been pending for a very long time?

Start by checking the case status, any requests from the office and whether all required documents and formalities are complete. As of 12 October 2026, decision time limits for covered residence cases at voivodeship offices are suspended until 4 March 2027, and ordinary remedies for delay are restricted. The available next step depends on your case and the procedure involved. We can review the file and possible steps at a consultation.
